This is my first work as a dramatist. It is very dramatic. Dramaturgy is a hefty word and when I heard it back then it was fun to say. I made the movie with heartfelt intentions but there was for sure a venom in me at the time. My cousin Dallas is what is known colloquially in my part of the world as a “sick cunt”, and here at 14 years old he embraced the role of actor with total seriousness and dedicated eye for realism and authenticity and I owe him a boat.
